Happy #WorldPulsesDay🌱
World pulses day is celebrated annually to recognise the importance of pulses as a global food.
Did you know:
Pulses are nitrogen fixing crops, meaning they enrich soils rather than deplete them of nutrients during the growing process. 👏 #pulses https://t.co/9NcxOrG6Fn
World Pulses Day is observed on 10 February to raise awareness about the importance of pulses and celebrated since 2019 by the United Nations (UN). The day also highlights the need for increased access to these crops among underprivileged sections.

Pulses (such as peas, beans and lentils) are the edible seeds of leguminous crops. They're a relatively cheap, easily available source of fibre, protein, vitamins and minerals; truly a welcome addition to a healthy diet 😋 https://t.co/6OwuMTte6i
World Pulses Day seeks to promote the dry, edible seeds. Pulses are part of the legume family and consist of chickpeas, lentils, and dry peas and beans.
